Mothers Day a time to celebrate:
This Mothers day we ran a photography competition , and asked you all to pick an image that best resembles motherhood. We also asked you to share in your own words your personal feelings about your mother or about motherhood, and what is special about mothers day. Well firstly, happy mothers day to all the others out there, and thank you for your wonderful and amazing contribution to life. Also thank you for touching our hearts with you kind, uplifting and inspiring words about mothers, we really have felt the spirit of this mothers day.
This mothers day, I am thankful to my mother, she is so wonderful and special and has given everything so that we can be who we are. She still continues to be this amazing person, and fulfills this sacred role, which only a mother can do. There is another special mother in my life – my beautiful wife. Without her I am incomplete, and without her I have no family, no kids, no joy and no eternal happiness. She also is this amazing person who sacrifices and gives up her own things so that we might have joy. This is truly a trait of motherhood.
I feel very lucky to be involved in profession photography. Not only do I get the opportunity to photograph mothers portraits, I also get to see them enjoy the fruits of their labours as they celebrate life during our lifestyle portrait session and family photos, plus I also get to see them enjoy the the great joy as they witness their children married at Weddings and become a new family of their own.
I would like to share with you some of the thoughts and feelings from those who entered our mothers day competition. I hope it gives you the same inspiration and joy it gave me. And please enjoy a small selection of some of our favourite mothers day images.
Here is what some of the winners from our mothers day competition said ( I will post more soon in a separate blogpost with a audio visual with our favourite images
“I have many mothers. All love me by there own choosing. All teach me to better who I am. It take a special kind of woman to do this and to stick by you during the good and hard times. The mums in my life are special because they’re helping me become a good mum to my children.”
“My mum is special because she is still teaching and loving me and my kids.”
“My Mum Grew Me, Raised Me and forever Loves Me :)”
