Engagement Portrait or family Portrait:
A family portrait and an engagement portrait in the same session. That’s right, the lovely couple preparing for their upcoming wedding, had us out with them on a lovely morning to get some pre wedding photographs or an engagement portrait.
The cool bit was having them bring their beautiful baby twins for the portrait session. Call it a engagement portrait or a family portrait, either way it was fantastic.
Bobby & Tash are getting married later this year and I am lucky enough to be given the job of being their photographer on their wedding day. This couple is accustomed to big days. They have a set of brand new baby twins, who were recently born. Can you imagine what every day is like for them (The parents that is). Every day is a big day and their wedding will be no different.
The couple have chosen a wedding date for september and will be getting married in the Serbian Orthodox church in Highgate or North Perth if you will call it that. Don’t turn up to the wrong chapel though, there is another Serbian Orthodox church very close by .
This particular morning we began by meeting at this little church to have a look around and it is amazing. The atmosphere is very surreal and has amazing texture, colour and vibrance. It will amazing place to photograph during this wedding, even if it is crammed with all the Bride and grooms family watching the ceremony.
After our visit to the church and meeting the priest, we ventured off to one of our famous wedding photography venues (also very popular for an engagement portrait) – The crawley boat shed – the blue house on the river near UWA and matilda bay. We took some pre wedding pictures here of the couple, while the not so happy babies sat in the pram waiting for us to finish.
After the boat shed we ventured off to Mosman park, one of Perth’s most prestigious suburbs and sought after places to live. That is if you have a cool few million at least to spare, plus a massive ten thousand for shire rates. WOW I nearly got knocked off my feet when i heard those ridiculous sums.
Anyway Mosman park down by the river happens to be one of Bobby & Tash’s favourite places to hang out. Down by the tranquil and peaceful river with the most amazing view they come down as a family sometimes bringing a movie on their computer to watch while they relax.
Well this is the spot for the wedding photos with their bridal party on their wedding day, and so we took some time to explore what it will be like plus take a few family portraits and an engagement portrait or two of this couple and the baby twins together. The photo session here went really well. You could see how much these two parents love both their children, and even when they weren’t playing easy, we managed to document a lovely little series of images and portraits for them during the session.
