The Wedding day of Ben & Laura is almost here
The Wedding day is almost here, only a day waits for this lovely couple. A few months back we did and engagement shoot for Ben & Laura, and tomorrow is their big day. Time has quickly come around for them to begin their eternal journey together, to start their new life as husband and wife. And I get to be there to witness all the amazing and special details that they have put together over the past few months in preparation for the wedding day.
Even though their pre wedding shoot was the first time I had photographed them together ( not that you can tell, they really are professionals and were so relaxed and easy to work with) we have crossed paths on the photography scene before. Laura, the bride in waiting and her creative sister form a talented duo of designers and party planners and operate a growing little business called Lushly Boutique Events & Design. If you want to see what they are all about visit their website or facebook page. But in a nutshell they are a must have if you are planning that party or event where the finest details are important. Your kids will absolutely love them. Well when they launched, I was their official photographer to take their product photographs. I’ll have to post another blog with some images from that photo shoot, because they were really awesome, and it was held at one of my favourite places on the earth Kafarela’s vineyards in the swan valley…. Oh and one of the little princesses in the photo shoot was my little daughter.
Ben the groom to be, also isn’t a stranger to our cameras. On two previous occasions her has been a groomsman or best man for a wedding that we have photograph. The first time was for a lovely couple from Kalgoorlie Ben & Jess, who now have a lovely family of their own. On the wedding day back then Hyde park was used for the bridal party photos and some stunning images created for their beautiful wedding album. The next occasion Ben photo bombed was for the wedding day of Shaun & Emily’s Wedding held at Bells rapids in the Swan Valley. Emily went on to win herself a wonderful photography award, and they too have a little family.
So when it came to the pre wedding photo session, this newly engaged couple needed no introduction, and we were able to create some magic images right from the word go in the amazing afternoon sunlight at the goat farm mountain bike course in the Perth Hills.
During the session I decided to use only available natural light as there was a gorgeous golden ray glaring across the field. This beautiful and very in love couple were very natural in front of the camera and needed very little direction. The magic flowed so we create some candid and memorable images for them to treasure, plus we had a practice for what it will be like for their Wedding day..
We are trying a couple of unique venues and locations for the wedding day photoshoot. We are going to use the urban landscape of Perth arena in Perth city (Melbourne’s federation square look alike), then onto the golden leaves in the vineyards of the Swan Valley, we are also using an abandoned old shack in Bullsbrook and hopefully sneaking a quick couple of shot on the beach in Mindarie and the sunset in Mindarie marina, where they will cozy inside for their reception. I can’t wait and will post some of the amazing images again soon.
