This is an image of my two beautiful children taken on a trip to Singapore earlier this year. We had been out sightseeing in the city and were getting ready to begin a boat cruise along the river. I had some camera equipment as I had been taking some pictures of the beautiful city. My kids were fooling around and having a real blast of an evening. I turned and saw them standing on a stairway kind of cuddling so I turned my camera to them. I had the http://cialisgeneric20mgbest.com/ buy viagra online online pharmacy camera already mounted on the tripod as to minimize camera shake in the low light conditions.
I zoomed in to about 70mm shooting on a 24-70mm 2.8 canon lens on a Canon 1DS. This is not the best low light camera so I could only open the ISO up to 1250. The shutter was set to 1/25 at an f stop of 3.2. There was only natural lighting available from street lights and reflections from the water as the sun had been down for quite some time. The white balance was set to tungsten to match the light thrown from the streetlights.
When I imported this image into Camera raw I noticed the exposure was a tiny bit dark and I added +30 while also lifting the brightness up to +63.
The image isn’t perfect thats for sure but it captures a nice little moment in a very difficult to shoot situation. Obviously my son at the back isn’t razor sharp and there is a bit of noise around, but there is a nice glow to them and also the city lights in the background plus the priceless little playful cuddle and smiles that only last a few seconds. There is a nice little catchlight in eyes that probably could have been enhanced with a little flash bounce off somewhere.
