Caylen & Thalia Portraits

Caylen & Thalia and their 2 children were only in town for a couple of weeks visiting family. They had travelled all the way over from Sunny Mackay in Queensland. We arranged a time to have them photographed with the family while they were here. We decided on a beach setting in Ocean Reef and decided the best time to go was in the evening while the sun was on its way down. As you know with portraits, things don’t always go the plan. A day earlier their 2 year old boy Cruz fell off the playground, splitting his head open. This meant that he needed to keep a bandage on his head to protct the area where the doctor had glued the wound together. But he toughed it out and rolled on with the portrait session. Of course the kids just couldn’t keep away from the water and their Papa wasn’t discouraging them at all. We found some magical little images of a beautiful little family enjoying the rugged West Coast lifestyle. After a fun and adventurous session, we found that the keys to the car had been locked in the car so the family sat around in the the windy cold evening having a good, fun conversation while we fetched the spare set of keys.
